CHARACTER NAME; SWN-001 Forte (Bass in the US versions, but I prefer and will be using the original name.)
AGE; Not REALLY known, thank you vague-to-nonexistent timeline. As far as appearance and mentality go, he gives the impression of being in his mid-teens. In actuality, he's probably five to six years old max. That's assuming roughly a year between games plus some time added in
consideration of Power Fighters and Power Battle, but in at least one instance it's half a year between games, so he could be younger.

CANON POINT; A short time after the events of Megaman 10

APPEARANCE; Before arriving in Terminal Tokyo, Forte was a humanoid combat robot wearing stylized armor with a black and gold color scheme. He's not very tall, and has red eyes and distinct purple markings under his eyes. Upon arrival, however, he'll be forced to endure the woes of being human, and as such will arrive minus armor and with clothes instead. He has black hair in a swept-back style, and will arrive wearing black jeans, a grey t-shirt, a black jacket with some gold accents, fingerless gloves, and white sneakers with black and gold designs.
PERSONALITY; Forte is self-centered, rash, arrogant, short-tempered, and single-minded. His initial purpose - defeating Megaman - drives him to the point of obsession, and he cares about very little else. Proving that he is the strongest robot in existence, and especially stronger than Rock, is his ultimate goal and he won't let anyone get in his way - surprisingly, not even his own creator. Forte doesn't think much of Wily, or of any authority figure for that matter, and routinely ignores or disobeys him, only going along when it suits his interests. He also sees any and all fellow Wily bots as inferior hunks of junk and has a severe dislike of them - after all, they're obstacles in his path to - what else - defeating Megaman. He's even put down Wily's plans himself a few times, working towards the same goal as Megaman if not alongside him.
Despite all the barking and eagerness to bite, Forte isn't just a violent brute. He might not be the type to make friends easily, but then he was made with one - Gospel. Wherever Forte goes, the robotic wolf is never far behind, and they tend to work more as a team than even Megaman and Rush do. The dynamics and value of a partnership is far from lost on Forte as a result, and he will reliably put Gospel's well-being before his own. Though it doesn't happen the same in the game itself, the Forte-centric manga for Megaman 10 shows this especially well when he endures a virus and gives the cure to Gospel instead. It's likely he'd do the same for anyone he considered a true friend, though someone else getting to that point is likely to take a lot of time and effort due to Forte's dislike of relying on anyone else. (Although he still allows Wily to repair and upgrade him, he's wary even of that and mostly has no other options. Considering that Wily has tried to off and/or replace Forte a few times now, one can hardly blame him!)
It's also interesting to note that Forte has a degree of respect for humans - when asked why he's fighting for them during Rockman & Forte, he points out that humans built robots in the first place, implying that he thinks the villain's plan to wipe humans out and have robots rule is moronic. He certainly doesn't hesitate to show violence towards other mechanoids for... well, any reason ever, really, but it's likely he wouldn't intentionally harm a human or other sentient organic unless he had no other choice. Or was really, really pissed off. Or they were the ones asking for a fight to begin with, because FORTE IS THE STRONGEST and has to prove it to EVERYBODY, dammit!
Speaking of fighting, Forte LOVES fighting. To the point where he can occasionally get so caught up in the heat of battle that he forgets what he was even fighting for to begin with - which isn't actually that much of an issue to him, considering that in his eyes, it almost always boils down to "I'M FIGHTING TO PROVE I'M STRONGER THAN EVERYONE ELSE SO HA" anyway. His combat philosophy is mostly what you might expect from someone like him - he won't hesitate to try cheap tricks or play dirty, and will absolutely use everything he has at his disposal to try to win. However, he really hates weak opponents, and will constantly goad an opponent that he thinks is holding out on him. (He's somewhat fond of name-calling, but not particularly creative about it.) If someone is too weak and easy to defeat, he won't even want to bother in the first place if he doesn't have to. It's just not any fun for him at that point.
Overall, Forte can be a little naive and a lot overconfident. He actually IS a very well-equipped combat robot, but his reckless personality and stubborn refusal to expand his horizons often stunts his success. He's not exactly stupid, but every time someone else tells him something that makes him consider himself - such as Protoman pointing out that he won't ever defeat Megaman because Megaman actually has something to fight for - he brushes it aside and reaffirms that it only matters for him to become the strongest.

Pffft. Anyone who actually says they'd end the world is either a psychopath or a moron. Even the old fart just wants to take it over. If anything, I'll make damn sure the world keeps existing until I've defeated Megaman and proven I'm the strongest once and for all! No one and nothing gets in my way!

Okay, fine. He's loyal only to me, just as strong as I am, and together we're even stronger! We've got each other's backs like no one else, not even Megaman and his dumb transforming dog! We're the only ones who understand each other, got it? I take hits so he doesn't, he pulls me out of the fire, and we've never gotta question it.
